SWEDISH BODY MASSAGE

Swedish body massage is also known as a classic body massage, the western standard for massage. It involves varying massage strokes including stroking, kneading, rubbing, acupressure, tapping, pounding and vibration.

Swedish body massage is usually performed as a whole body massage but can also be a half body massage or focused on specific parts of the body.

Swedish body massage is good for improving circulation, flushing out toxins, keeping the ligaments and tendons supple, relaxation and reducing stress and anxiety, promoting the repair of injuries and strains and alleviating back pain.

INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE

Indian head massage is an ancient therapeutic treatment that uses acupressure on the head, face, neck and shoulders. Having been practiced in India for thousands of years, it focuses on your head, neck and shoulders and was originally used to improve scalp and hair condition.

A deep massage, Indian Head Massage uses a variety of techniques including circular massage strokes on your scalp, deep tissue work on your shoulders and streching the neck.

Indian Head Massage is ideal if you are suffering from headaches, migraines, tension and anxiety, stiff shoulders, repetitive strain injury and eye strain.

BACK, NECK AND SHOULDER MASSAGE

A back, neck and shoulder massage is ideal if you are suffering from tension, strain or injury in the upper body. Tt can involve sports massage which is deep tissue massage to work out any knots and lactic acid that may be causing pain and inflammation.

A back, neck and shoulder massage can increase feelings of relaxation and contentment and relieve pain including headaches and back pain. It can also improve mood and help fight depression as it releases endorphins, the body’s feel good hormones, along with improving blood and lymph circulation leading to an improvement in overall health and wellbeing.

FACE MASSAGE

Face massage promotes blood flow and oxygen in the skin. Using oil to massage the face can help with keeping the skin supple and reduce the appearance of aging.

It reduces puffiness and creates a brighter skin tone and appearance.

Face massage is very relaxing and therapeutic, particularly when you are suffering from stress, anxiety and tension.

REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology is based on the principle that the hands, ears and feet are connected to different organs and specific parts of the body. By applying pressure to the reflex points in the foot, reflexology can release tension, improve blood supply and stimulate the body’s natural healing processes.

Reflexology is suprisingly relaxing and can be an excellent treatment for boosting circulation and promoting healing within the body. It can be good for improving concentration, removing toxins from the body, boosting your metabolism, pain relief, relieving PMS symptoms, helping with menopause symptoms and alleviating the discomfort of pregnancy and morning sickness.

BACK PAIN, STRAIN AND INJURIES

Holistic Massage Therapy is ideal for the treatment of back pain, strain and injuries with the added benefit of a CBD oil for easing muscular pain and discomfort. Using sports massage techniques for deep tissue massage can help to alleviate painful knots – small, bump-like areas of muscle caused by the fibres or the bands of tissue underneath them tensing and tightening.

If you are in pain you do not need to suffer in silence. Our massage therapies can have surprisingly quick results, even for long term chronic pain sufferers, and I can advise on exercises and techniques you can practice between treatments to aid your recovery and strengthen your muscles.
